Terms of Service

These terms cover the Spoolfield app, the website at https://spoolfield.com, the website demo, and Spoolfield’s connections for AI apps. By installing, buying or using Spoolfield, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Spoolfield is made and sold by the developer of Spoolfield (“we”, “us”), based in Thailand. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Orders and payment

Orders are processed by our online reseller, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. It takes your payment, adds any sales tax or VAT that applies in your country, sends your receipt and handles billing questions. Its own terms and privacy notice also apply to your purchase.

There are two plans. Lite converts files you already have on your device (video, audio and images); it does not download from websites and does not work with AI apps. Pro adds downloads from the sites Spoolfield supports and AI apps. Prices are in US dollars: Lite costs US$2.99 per month or US$14.99 per year, and Pro costs US$5.99 per month or US$29.99 per year. Tax may be added at checkout depending on where you live.

3. Subscriptions

• Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from the link in your order email or by writing to us. You keep Spoolfield until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• If we change a price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies. The new price starts at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
• If a renewal payment fails, Spoolfield stops unlocking new downloads until the payment goes through.

4. Free trial

You can try Spoolfield without paying. The trial starts with your first successful download and lasts 1 day or 3 clips, whichever comes first. Conversions count the same as downloads, and the trial includes every Pro feature. The trial needs an internet connection and is limited to one per device.

5. Your license

While your plan is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Spoolfield on up to 3 devices. To stop accounts being shared, we may limit how often you can add new devices.

You may not:

• Resell Spoolfield, or share your account with people outside your household.
• Bypass or tamper with Spoolfield’s license checks.
• Copy or reverse-engineer Spoolfield, except where the law allows it.

Spoolfield checks its license with our server about once a day and keeps working offline for up to 3 days. To use Spoolfield on another device, you sign in with a 6-digit code we email you.

6. Using Spoolfield responsibly

You are responsible for what you download and convert. Only use Spoolfield for content you own, content you have permission to use, content under a license that allows reuse (such as Creative Commons), or content the law otherwise lets you copy.

• Each site has its own terms, and some of them limit downloading.
• Spoolfield does not remove DRM or other copy protection, and you must not use it to try.
• You must not use Spoolfield to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or harass anyone.

We may suspend accounts that are used for abuse, such as reselling access or mass automated downloading that harms the sites.

7. AI apps and AI credits

With a Pro plan, AI apps on your device can use Spoolfield through its MCP server or its local API. Each file an AI app downloads or converts uses one free AI file from your monthly allowance first, then one AI credit.

• The allowance is currently 30 files per account per month. It resets on the 1st of each month (UTC).
• Failed or cancelled files don’t use anything.
• AI credits are sold in packs. They have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and don’t expire while your account exists.
• You need an active plan to use AI credits.

AI apps on the web. With a Pro plan, you can also connect AI apps on the web, such as claude.ai, through our relay. Turn on “Allow AI apps on the web” in Spoolfield on the device that should receive requests. Requests go to one device at a time, the one where it was turned on most recently, and Spoolfield must be open there. AI apps on the web can save files into your Spoolfield folder and convert files that are already in it, but they can’t reach other files on your device. Files they save or convert count as AI files in the same way. The relay may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. Downloads in the Spoolfield window keep working.

Downloads you make in the Spoolfield window itself never use AI credits. We may change the monthly allowance for future months; if we do, we’ll tell you first. Credits you’ve already bought stay on your account.

8. The website demo

The demo on our website lets you try one clip per visitor every 24 hours, up to 10 minutes long, as MP4 up to 720p or MP3 at 192 kbps. We delete the file from our server within 30 minutes. The same rules for responsible use apply. When you start the demo, you confirm you’re allowed to download the clip.

9. Other sites and open-source software

Spoolfield is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Dailymotion or Truth Social. Their names belong to their owners.

Sites change how they work, so we can’t promise every link will work at every moment. Spoolfield updates its download engine automatically to keep up. Spoolfield includes open-source software, including yt-dlp, FFmpeg and QuickJS-ng, which is covered by its own licenses.

10. Updates to Spoolfield

We update Spoolfield to fix problems and to keep up with the sites it supports. We may add, change or remove features, but we won’t remove a main feature of your plan during a period you’ve already paid for.

11. Refunds

12. Ending your use

You can stop using Spoolfield and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If that happens, your license ends and we don’t refund you, except where the law requires it.

13. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, Spoolfield is provided “as is”, without any promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

14. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protection that the consumer law of your country gives you and that can’t be waived.

16. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we also tell people with a paid plan, by email or in the app, before it applies.
