Copyright Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Spoolfield is software that runs on your own device. We don’t host, store or share videos, and we respect the rights of the people who make them.
1. What Spoolfield does and doesn’t do
- Files you save with Spoolfield go straight to your own device. They never pass through our servers. The only exception is the one-clip demo on our website when it’s turned on, and it deletes its file within 30 minutes.
- We don’t host, index, sell or recommend anyone’s videos or music.
- Spoolfield does not remove DRM or other copy protection.
2. How you may use it
Our Terms of Service only allow you to save content you own, content you have permission to use, content under a license that allows reuse (such as Creative Commons), or content the law otherwise lets you copy. Each site also has its own terms.
3. Reporting a copyright problem
If you believe something on spoolfield.com or in our service infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the subject “Copyright notice” and include:
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- The copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
- Where the material is, such as the exact web address on our site, or the account you believe is involved.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We read every notice and reply as soon as we can. Notices that are missing these details may take longer, because we may need to ask for them.
4. If a notice is about an account
Files people save are on their own devices, so we can’t see or remove them. If a valid notice shows that a Spoolfield account is being used to infringe, we may suspend that account. If your account is suspended and you believe it was a mistake, or that you were allowed to use the material, reply to our email with your explanation and we will review it.
5. Repeat infringement
We end the accounts of people who repeatedly use Spoolfield to infringe copyright, where appropriate.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Questions about it go to [email protected].
