How credits work

Jobs are paid for with credits. One credit is about one minute of video, and you always see the price before a job starts.

What a job costs

Speech to text: 1 credit per minute of audio. Used by transcripts, captions and finding moments by topic. Free again for the same video while its files are kept.
Shorts, captions, Source packs: 1 credit per minute of video you get back.
Save, trim, convert, reshape, shrink: 1 credit per 5 minutes of video.
Free: The prompt box and Trending.

Part of a minute counts as a full minute, and every paid job uses at least 1 credit.

The bar at the bottom shows what the job uses, such as Uses 4 credits, and what you have, before you press Run.
When you press Run, those credits are set aside. When the job finishes, it uses only what it actually made, never more than the price you saw.
If a job fails, or you cancel it, the credits set aside come back to you. The job says nothing charged.

The Free plan gives you 15 credits when you sign up. From the next month on, it also gives you 10 free credits on the 1st of every month (UTC). Those monthly credits are used first and don’t carry over.
Starter gives 150 credits and Creator 450 credits each month. On a yearly plan, you get the whole year’s credits at the start of each plan year (1,800 or 5,400).
Plan credits don’t carry over. Any left at the end of the month, or the year on a yearly plan, expire.

Top-up credits never expire, and they’re used only after your plan credits run out. You need an active paid plan to buy and use them.
