Spoolfield.ai
AI video tools for Claude and Cursor, over MCP
Add Spoolfield to your AI app with one web address, sign in with your email, and ask for video work in the chat: Shorts from a long video, burned-in captions, a transcript, or a file in another format. The jobs run on Spoolfield’s servers, and the price in credits reaches your AI app before any job starts.
Free accounts can connect too: 15 credits at sign-up, no card. Ask only about videos you own, are licensed to reuse, or have permission to use.
Connect your AI app in 3 steps
- In claude.ai, click Connect to Claude on the Spoolfield home page. In Cursor and other apps that add MCP servers by URL, paste the Spoolfield address shown on the same page.
- A Spoolfield page opens. Enter your account email and the 6-digit code we email you, then allow the app. No account yet? Sign up free first; it takes a minute.
- Paste a video link into the chat and ask, for example: “Make 3 Shorts about the pricing part of this video, with Pop captions.” Spoolfield sends the price to the app first, and the job starts only after the app confirms it.
What your AI app can do with Spoolfield
The web app’s tools, in chat
Shorts with word-by-word captions, captions burned into a video, transcripts with SRT, saving or converting a video or its sound, and Source packs for AI video editors.
A price you agree to
Before any job that uses credits, the AI app gets the price. Nothing runs until the app confirms it, and the job never uses more than that amount.
Free lookups
Trending videos on a topic, a look at a link and your credit balance cost nothing, so the app can check things before you spend.
Same account, same jobs
Jobs from the chat draw on the credits you already have and appear under Your jobs. Download links open in a browser where you’re signed in to Spoolfield.
Questions
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI apps use outside tools. Spoolfield runs its MCP server on the web, so your AI app reaches it by address and there’s nothing to install on your computer.
Do I need a paid plan to use it from an AI app?
No. A free account connects the same way and spends its credits the same way. Paid plans add credits every month, higher resolution and longer file storage.
Can the AI app use a file on my computer?
No. AI apps work with video links only. For a file on your computer or phone, upload it in the Spoolfield web app and run the job there.
Can I run Spoolfield from my own code instead?
Yes, with the REST API. Every account, free ones included, can create API keys on the account page and use the same tools and credits. The API guide shows how.
